The Wolves held a 1-0 lead after two periods at home Saturday night before Iowa’s Mason Shaw tied it with under two minutes left in regulation. Josiah Slavin then scored on a breakaway in overtime to give Chicago a 2-1 win, according to Iowa Wild reporter Derek Felska.
Wild goalie Riley Mercer made 21 saves in the loss. The win is a much-needed one for a Wolves team coming off the worst start in franchise history.
