Jake Oettinger stopped all 19 shots he faced as Dallas shut out the Blackhawks 4-0 at the United Center on Saturday night. Jason Robertson opened the scoring on a second-period power play, Arttu Hyry added two goals, and Roope Hintz capped it in the third.
Spencer Knight made 28 saves on 32 shots in the loss. The Sun-Times’ Ben Pope noted it was Chicago’s first home shutout since Dec. 13 against Detroit last season, though he credited Oettinger for turning aside the chances the Hawks did create.
