Notre Dame junior goalie Nicholas Kempf earned Big Ten Third Star of the Week honors after allowing one goal on 51 shots in an opening sweep of Niagara. He stopped 24 shots in the opener and posted a 26-save shutout the next night. The Irish open a home-and-home series with Western Michigan this weekend.
