Andrew Mangiapane, out since getting hurt in the season opener, was back on the ice before Blackhawks practice Monday in a non-contact jersey. Bowen Byram was absent again as he deals with an upper-body issue, so the Hawks will hope their week off before Friday’s home game against Montreal gets him healthy.
There was a fashion note too: the whole team wore brown gloves, and Arvid Söderblom broke in new white pads with green trim, which Bleacher Nation’s Tab Bamford reads as a possible early peek at the Hometown Remix look due in early November.
