Kevin Korchinski has played just once this season, and he stayed out again Saturday against Dallas even with Bowen Byram injured. Coach Jeff Blashill went with Ethan Del Mastro for a second straight game and said Friday that Korchinski needs to “be great in practice every day” to earn a spot. The Sun-Times’ Ben Pope writes that Chicago has no easy way out: Kyle Davidson doesn’t want to put the former No. 7 overall pick on waivers, and a trade now would mean selling low.
