Hawks Prospect Nestrašil Scores Twice in UMass Win

Blackhawks prospect Václav Nestrašil scored twice Friday as No. 19 UMass beat Northeastern 4-1 in the teams’ Hockey East opener at the Mullins Center. He tipped in a point shot to tie the game early in the first, then sealed it in the third by picking off a Northeastern pass in the neutral zone and beating the goalie on a breakaway. Coach Greg Carvel called him UMass’s “best player” on the night, and the two goals give him three on the season.
