Madison scored the game’s first six goals and beat the Steel 6-2 at Bob Suter’s LEGACY20 Arena on Saturday night, even though Chicago outshot the Capitols in the first period. Braden Waller scored twice for Madison, and a five-minute major on Cole Peters opened the door for more Capitols offense.
Cole Bumgarner broke up the shutout with his fourth goal late in the third, and Nolan Shorter added another. The Steel fall to 4-2-1-0 and have now given up at least five goals in both of their road losses.
